Precedent Analysis Proposal

For my precedent analysis project I picked The Plaza Hotel in New York.
'Where the park begins and the possibilities are endless.'

designed by:: Henry Janeway Hardenbergh

opened to the public on:: October 1st, 1907

New York City, New York

The Plaza is an iconic Beaux-Arts masterpiece. It is at the crossroads of Central Park and Fifth Avenue. It is a luxurious, distinctive landmark. The Plaza went under a four hundred million dollar restoration. This building will play into New York City's emerging future and will set a new standard of luxury. This structure is also where two great sculptures.
I think it is important to shed light on this beautiful structure because it has recently been renovated to its originally glory. I think historic restorations like these are key to the future of architecture.

After Donald Trump bought The Plaza from Conrad Hilton
He said this in a letter he wrote to The New York Times;

"I haven't purchased a building, I have purchased a masterpiece — the Mona Lisa. For the first time in my life, I have knowingly made a deal that was not economic — for I can never justify the price I paid, no matter how successful the Plaza becomes."
